gzgetc -- Get character from gz-file pointer
Description

gzgetc ( resource zp)
Returns a string containing a single (uncompressed) character
read from the file pointed to by zp. Returns FALSE on EOF (as
does gzeof()).
The gz-file pointer must be valid, and must point to a file
successfully opened by gzopen().
